Drug Rehab Treatment in California

Sunrise Recovery treats men and women for drug addiction and alcoholism at a serene "ranch like" treatment center in Southern California.

Successful Treatment Begins at Sunrise

Sunrise Recovery is a residential program that was designed to give men and women the best possible chance at achieving long term recovery from chemical dependency.   Our staff is made up of counselors, therapists, and nurses who provide a structured and supportive environment for recovery.   Each day will be filled with therapeutic activities that address the underlying issues that contributed to the addictive behavior.

Evidence Based Treatment

Once the drug of choice leaves the system of the woman or man who is in treatment, the real work begins - creating a foundation for long term sobriety.   Through addiction education and therapeutic processes, the client in treatment will build self esteem and momentum towards long term recovery. Each client will learn many life tools that will allow him or her to walk through the inevitable stressful situations which could be potential triggers for a relapse.

Opiate Addiction and other Prescription Drugs

Since our treatment center opened over a decade ago, we have been treating an increasing number of clients who are struggling with opiate drug addiction due to recreational abuse of drugs like OxyContin and Vicodin.  Also, other prescription drugs like benzodiazepenes and Adderall have risen in popularity.   This phenomenon of prescription drug addiction is so striking it can only be described as a public health epidemic.  Our staff specializes in treating men and women who are struggling with prescription medication addiction.

Who Comes to Our Treatment Center?

The men and women who come to our facility in the Riverside foothills have often lost everything to their addiction. Sunrise treats adult men and women (18+) who are addicted to drugs or alcohol.   The areas of our clients's lives that usually show the symptoms of addiction are:
  • Career and Money Problems (also, school)
  • Relationship/Intimacy Issues
  • Anger Issues
  • Family Problems
  • Symptoms of Depression
The parents, significant other, children, or anyone else who cares about the person who needs treatment is caught in a dangerous cycle of stress and worry.  Addiction is so gradually progressive that sometimes the situation has become incredibly unhealthy with all parties struggling to maintain a sense of "normalcy."   Simply put: Addiction destroys families, but there is hope here.   Our clients are men and women who are fully capable of being great moms, dads, employees, sons, and daughters. brothers, and husbands.  These men and women have lost their way due to the addiction that has consumed them.  One thing that all of our clients seem to have in common is that they have lost control of their lives and they are hurting the ones that matter most to them.

Addiction is a Treatable Disease

Addiction is now almost universally accepted as a disease that is treatable. Struggling

A Caring Staff Member

with addiction is not a matter of making good or bad choices, it is the loss of choice due to a variety of genetic and environmental factors. Our treatment team will educate the client about the effects of chemical dependency on the brain. The client will understand why he or she is experiencing  cravings and will be given tools for long term sobriety.

Why We Are Different

Click Here to Read "A Day in the Life at Sunrise Recovery"   Our rehabilitation center has a very high success rate because the women and men who receive treatment here are closely supervised in a facility that is beautiful and secluded.  Many of the staff members at Sunrise Recovery are in recovery themselves, and this helps build a connection with those in treatment.  Under the guidance of our experienced staff, the men and women in treatment build fellowship with others in recovery and are shown how rewarding life can be without drugs or alcohol. Each individual will be given an individualized treatment regimen that will include:
  • traditional psychological processes
  • 12-Step principles
  • positive and esteem building physical activities
  • the best experiential and alternative therapies

Dual Diagnosis

It is not uncommon for a client to be seeking treatment for chemical dependency and also be struggling with another mental health issue like depression, trauma, or an anxiety disorder.  This is known as having a dual diagnosis disorder and our facility is trained in identifying and simultaneously treating both the addiction and the co-occurring disorder.   We have a consulting psychiatrist on staff who will work with the client closely in monitoring the symptoms of both diagnoses and prescribe medication if necessary.

From Detox to Long-Term Sobriety

Sunrise Recovery  will thoroughly assess a new client for the required detoxification process (which is performed on site). Our staff of nurses provides the appropriate level of care to ensure a safe and comfortable detoxification process.   Once the client has the drugs out of his system, he or she begins to come "out of the fog" of the addiction and we take this opportunity to build a foundation of long term sobriety through the variety of processes and activities which you can see on our sample schedule.

Continuing Care

Throughout the treatment process,  our staff will help the client with his long term "continuing care" plan so that he or she is able to "step down" the level of clinical support gradually and successfully re-enter society to  pursue goals that will continue growth in life.  Our parent facility (Sober Living by the Sea) has a variety of treatment options that allow for a man or woman to continue treatment while resuming his or her career or education.   Our treatment center has a tight knit group of alumni who frequently visit and get together to celebrate monthly and annual milestones of sobriety.

Insurance

Sunrise Recovery is contracted with a wide variety of insurance networks including Aetna, Blue Cross, and others.  Every insurance policy has the potential to cover or offset the cost of treatment.
